New Property Access Road Widening - Mark & Melissa

Providing better property access for the CFA

In February 2021 we were approached by Mark & Melissa to source offsets as part of their planning permit to build a new residential property. Their property is located in South Gippsland, approximately 20km east of Inverloch and 8km inland, situated on a beautiful bush block of 105 acres.

The South Gippsland Shire Council required an environmental assessment report as part of their planning submission so Mark & Melissa sought out an environmental consultant to do this work for them: Shannon Dwyer of Pinnacle Environmental. Shannon was employed to produce two reports; the 1st was to assess the appropriateness of the house site and the 2nd to calculate the level of clearing and offsets required to widen the access road.

Whilst the clearing of native vegetation required for the house site was exempt as part of the bushfire management plan, CFA requirements meant they also needed to widen one section of an existing access track that runs from the public road to the house site. It was for this reason they needed to purchase offsets and from here that Shannon linked Mark & Melissa to us at Veg Link to source the offsets they required.

Mark and Melissa said:

“We were very happy with our dealings with Veg Link. Our initial approach was handled promptly and clear concise information was provided at all times. Once we were ready to proceed, the transaction was handled quickly and efficiently.”

We’re thrilled to learn that Mark & Melissa would use Vegetation Link again without hesitation.
