Bass Coast Shire Council approached Vegetation Link in December of 2023 to help assist with meeting the native vegetation offset requirements for a new, off-road shared pathway. The pathway will connect the towns of Inverloch and Wonthaggi, by way of a 14km inland route and enhance bio-link corridors, by connecting pockets of native vegetation with further revegetation works.

The pathway provides an opportunity for people to walk and engage in the natural environment, with views of wetlands, native vegetation and glimpses of the Bass Coast. This project has been a much-anticipated upgrade for local communities and will help improve safety and connectivity for cycling and walking in the area.

“Securing native vegetation offsets through Vegetation Link was a straightforward and positive experience. The team provided clear guidance and maintained open communication throughout the process. Their support made it easy to understand the requirements and complete each stage efficiently. Overall, Vegetation Link was professional, reliable, and helped ensure the offsets were secured on time and in line with all compliance needs.”
